Community Garden update

As information only, we wanted to let you know that the garden shed was broken into in May and many tools, including battery-operated tools, were taken. The City has reinforced the door and the gardeners are not currently planning to replace all those tools – especially until we are sure the shed is secured. Other than this challenge, the gardens are looking great and we are harvesting the first crops and making donations to local food pantries. You may also notice the sign requesting that no leaves or grass be dropped off at the garden. We are not actively composting at this time and we do not have room to keep them.
